Differentiated Instruction (DI) and Understanding by Design (UbD) - Case Study
|In week three, participants will select and read a case study of a typical lesson in an elementary, or a middle/high school. They will be asked to re-design the activity based on what they have learned about DI and UbD. They will post their re-designed activity and be asked to comment on two other students activities. Finally, they will select an activity that they might do with their class (or that is done in their school/district) that they would like to re-design following DI and UbD principles. They will use a simple lesson template to gather information about the activity, and bring it to the next face to face class. how participants will use it during the seven week course.|
