Goals, Instructional Objectives and Student Outcome for this activity:

Goal: This activity is intended to allow students to recognize what teaching and learning models have influenced them in the past so that they can discover which philosophy best describes their personal beliefs about teaching and learning.


Instructional Objectives:

  • Students will write a 2 paragraph description of a memorable teaching or learning moment from their past.
  • Students will describe what types of learning models may have attributed to the learning experience.
  • Students will analyze what specific traits within a learning model caused an effect on their learning.
  • Students will become aquatinted with and develop a social bond with their classmates.

 

Student Outcome: Students will post their learning experience and analysis on a discussion board and read 3 other postings to which they will make a response that analysis someone else’s teaching or learning story.
